Two (actually many) steps forward, one small step back...

I've added in a bunch of code which now gives me control over the "console prompt" in some rather fun ways.  

I've also gone back to the '_' underscore cursor, because well.. it's working... 

I'll see about perhaps adding a side-by-side comparison with the broken block-cursor version (which, again, works fine inside the editor, but [at least for me, personally] simply fails to show any cursor whatsoever in my browser.
